About Stamp

The four stamps, all blue in colour, feature a variety of outdoor recreational activities that may be enjoyed in Canada. For the first time in Canada, postage stamps in sheets were issued in se-tenant designs. The purpose was a practical measure to provide even the smallest class of post offices with all four designs of the stamps without a great sortation problem.

Creators

Designed by Laurence Hyde. Picture engraved by Yves Baril.
